Welcome to project
PSYCLONE 64 COMET
From This

To a complete custom top level build in less time than most people take to replace a toothbrush!
What are you thinking???

The thought behind accepting the challenge of taking a car that hasn't been registered or even on the road since the late 70's from a fairly decent, not to rusty, kinda runs - well, that may be an overstatement - beater. To a fully rebuilt state of the art showpiece that will make your jaw drop in less than a year is going to be a tall order. But the Total Performance crew is totally up for the challenge. With as many closed door projects that we do we felt it was important to get the word out that and showcase the shops ability to build a fantastic piece of auto art in lass than half the time of most other shops!

There are a few key aspects of this build that we really want to show through all aspects of the finished product. Heritage meets technology. Old school meets new school. We want to tastefully take one of the most iconic body styles in vintage drag racing and make it what no other builder has done to date. Make a mindblowing 1964 Comet into a "Heritage Touring" car that really knows its family lineage. Every part on this car will be scrutinized for its message. It will need to be the perfect mix. Keep up to date on the build as it happens on the below link to the H.A.M.B. to see the week by week progress towards the goal!

Bringing the 64 home!Putting the 64 in its workbay
Here the Comet was picked up from San Jose. We brought it home and stuck in what will be its designated work bay for the duration of the build. January 2011
Over the next few weeks we totally stripped it to nothing to see what we were dealing with. Not bad at all bad miles away from what we wanted.
Now that you've had your interest peaked!
